My name is Morgan Fielding I have always loved drawing and just dootiling anything that comes to mind, but I haven’t been really good at it in the past. I am also a perfectionist so whatever I did draw wasn’t up to my standards and it always put me down and I would stop drawing. I have been trying to improve my skill during my time at freestyle academy an I would like to show my two favorite artworks from my freestyle carrier.
The first one is a book cover that we made in design class to go with our short narrative we wrote in English. My story was set in the future with a man in a police station in a room that was made of mirrors. So I made this front cover to be a man standing in front of an infinite mirror. I also made a back cover that was a cityscape of what I thought the world would look like.
This project was important to me because it was one of my first projects that I spent a lot of time and got it to the point where I liked the way it looked.
The other project I would like to show is one of my consumer product for my zenith here at freestyle. This product is a collectors edition box for my game that I made. It shows the two space fleets that are in the game and the two leaders of the races. I spent lots of time perfecting the two leaders faces because I struggle with drawing people and wanted to improve.
This was the real first work that I was proud of what I made. The faces are really detailed by my standards and I really like the way it turned out. This project showed me that I can make things that look right and not just a jumbled mess of colors and lines.
