Ekphrastic Intention Statement

I am exploring the feeling of moral confusion thought the act of sitting. My speaker, is the the person depicted in the painting. Sitting upside down, surrounded by dark, blue colors. The subject of the poem revolves around the seekers feelings. The speaker  contemplates his own moral values, questioning what society tells us is good or bad. The speaker is recalling a past in which he had feel fulfilled in the small thing in life, satisfied but the surface level accomplishment. His attitude is one of extreme solemn. As if her was mourning the death of his past helf, because he struggles to find a reason behind any action in life, questing if his goals a justifiable. The language used in my grammar is a bit more complex than casual speak in order to relay the complexity of the speaker’s thoughts. In addition ending lines are longer to emphasize the difficult idea, yet contrasted with the short lines which describe the speaker’s emotions. The intentional contrast between line length implies the overflow of thoughts, yet the lack of emotion. I also use an allusion to a biblical figure to metaphorically represent all the qualities that the speaker does not have. In the fourth stanza, I attempt to depict the boring, lonely, and gray emotions of the speaker.
