Hello! My name is Naureen Inayath. I am Indian American and currently attend both Freestyle Academy and Mountain View High School. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, baking, and volunteering, and I also have a younger sister who inspires me in many ways.
At Freestyle, I am studying animation, which has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I’ve enjoyed learning how to bring my drawings and ideas to life through movement and storytelling. My friends often describe me as creative and honest. I enjoy problem-solving and always try to stay flexible when things don’t go as planned. Although I can sometimes get distracted, I’m genuinely curious and love discovering how things work.
For my core values video, I chose the values that resonated most with me. The difference between adventure and curiosity is that the fonts are different because I wanted each word to match its meaning. The word adventure in my video has sharper lines to show that it’s kind of taking on a challenge, while the word curiosity is slower and shows that I like to learn new things slowly. I made perseverance have 2 effects and made it so it would show up a bit longer because perseverance is the most important thing to me, and it shows that even through difficult times that I’ve had, it’s important to persevere in order to be the best version of myself.
I chose this particular music because I felt that it best fit with my values because it has a rhythm to it and also sounds calming but upbeat at the same time, which is how I feel like I am. I also made it so that whenever there is a change in the music, if it gets more upbeat or if it’s faster/slower, I add in a new word so that it would match up with the song. For the words, I placed them in order of what I felt connected better to each other, so honesty, calm, and kindness are all in the same group, while openness and curiosity are in the middle since they could be tied to honesty and adventure, and I decided to add in adventure, perseverance, and openness last because they connect more.
I am passionate about both arts and medicine. Drawing allows me to express myself, while helping others gives me a deep sense of purpose. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in healthcare while continuing to create art on the side. Balancing creativity with compassion is something I value greatly.
I chose to attend Freestyle because I wanted to grow as an artist and challenge myself through animation. The idea of bringing my imagination to life through art and storytelling deeply motivated me. I appreciate that Freestyle provides the freedom to explore, experiment, and develop my creative voice.
