Documentary

Introduction

For the Documentary Project, we had to have a perspective on a person, group, place, idea, or issue. We had to gather primary and secondary research sources, that included having interviews, and articles for our topic. The paper that we had to conduct for English will then be used as the base for the magazine article we create for Digital Media. This unit emphasized narrative-style journalism.

For my Documentary Project, I wanted to focus on what I found for, No Kill really beneficial to animals. My mom then told me to go to Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) to find to around and interview the people working there. There I interviewed a mentor who works at HSSV and my mom who also works as a volunteer. My focus was No Kill really being beneficial to society.
Before starting to find my interviewees I had to brainstorm and collect data on what I’m going to talk about. I came up with a series of questions to ask my interviewees before coming up to have an interview with them. Luckily when I had my interviews done I was lucky enough to not have a problem with COVID-19 as during this time it wasn’t as big of a pandemic.
