Because this unit was for us to learn about how dialogue and audio enhance a story, we practiced ADR, or Automated Dialog Replacement. Our assignment was to make a voice over video of one of the Harry Potter trailers. I chose to do Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Personally, I had quite a fun time creating and recording the script and putting together the audio. It really amazed me how the sounds we hear in movies, a lot of times, aren’t the original audio. I found it quite fascinating to learn how it is done first hand.
