I created this poem while following the statement “I am exploring the feeling of unease through the experience of following my instincts” My intentions for this poem was to create a poem that wasn’t so free, but would still involve some sense of order. I wanted to make it so it would be a bit relatable. We all do make mistakes. Some innocent, some drastic, and some that are so stupid that you’d rather talk about your guilty pleasures more than those mistakes. Sometimes we do try to hide them, but the best thing to do is to learn form them.

When traversing through the museum, I stumbled upon this piece of art. It literally stuck out to me, and I went and looked at it. I originally wanted it to be a bit more fun, but still dark, meaning calling out the specific details on the painting, such as the candles, but I decided to go with the full dark tone, as the piece of art gave out in my opinion. I wanted a light use of repetition, a heavy emphasis on visual details, and a slight touch of olfactory details. If you look closely, you will figure out what this is about. Some background information is needed to understand the message I was going for with this poem and the little subtle details I put in there.
