Who are you?
My name is Noam Sheba, and I’m a junior at Mountain View High School. I’d say I’m a pretty curious and outgoing person who loves to learn and try new things. I’m taking AP U.S. History and AP Psychology right now, and I’m really into politics and history because they help me understand the world and where I want to go in life. I like making people laugh and being that energetic, sometimes a little sporadic, dude who brings good vibes wherever he goes. I think health is wealth, so I try to stay active, and I love listening to all kinds of music- Drake is one of my favorites, but honestly I’ll listen to almost anything. I also love meeting new people and hearing their stories, because I think everyone has something valuable to share. As for what makes me tick, I think my personality is a mix of my American upbringing and my Israeli roots, and I like bringing that into everything I do.
What are your core values in life?
Some of my biggest values are growth, honesty, creativity, and joy. I try to always keep moving forward, whether that’s in school, in life, or in the little things I do every day. Being real with people is super important to me, and I think staying authentic helps me build strong connections. I’m also all about creativity and humor- I think finding new ways to express yourself and making people laugh are two of the best things in life. And like I said, I believe health is wealth, and part of that for me is keeping a positive mindset and surrounding myself with people who make life fun.
What are you currently passionate about in life?
Right now, I’m passionate about learning more about politics and history because I want to study political science in the future. I care a lot about understanding how leadership and ideas shape societies, and I hope to use that knowledge one day to make a difference. I’m also excited about traveling, especially spending more time in Israel after high school so I can connect more with my culture and family. Outside of academics, I like creating things, like ceramics projects that show off my quirky personality. I also love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and just laughing together. Music plays a big role in my life too- whether it’s Drake or another artist, it always inspires me and helps me reset.
Why did you choose to become a Freestyle student?
I chose Freestyle because I wanted a place where creativity really matters. My brother was a Freestyle student, and he inspired me a lot- I saw how much fun he had, and I wanted to experience that too. I also look up to him, so following his path just felt right. Freestyle lets me take the things I care about- like politics, creativity, and self-expression- and actually put them into projects that mean something to me. I love that it’s such a collaborative and open environment where everyone can be themselves. For me, Freestyle is about pushing myself to try new things and creating work that feels true to who I am.

I have always loved school!!

My homeland and the place where all my family lives and my culture resides forever.
