Hi! My name is Oscar Marek. I’m a Freestyle Academy student. I’m a junior at LAHS and I love movies, music, video games and being with friends. I’m in the Los Altos Marching Band where I play drums. I can’t wait to keep updating this website with all the cool things that I’m gonna make during my time at Freestyle!

In life I always try to be helpful, generous and kind. I want to make sure that I’m always bringing some positive influence in people’s lives when I spend time with them. Because of this, I always try to help people in any way that I can. I’m hoping to do that through my work here too. 

Right now, I’m really passionate about music. I’ve already mentioned that I’m in the marching band playing drums, but I’ve also been playing guitar for almost four years now. I’m hoping to get the chance to incorporate more of my roots in music in my work here at Freestyle. Since I’m in film, I think making really fun soundtracks for all of my projects here is gonna be something I want to try to do.

I chose to go to Freestyle because the normal school environment was pretty stressful and hard to keep up with. When I heard about Freestyle, I immediately loved the concept because a school where you could get credit for just being creative seemed too good to be true. Now that I’m here I’m super excited to see what I can make.
