My story revolves around themes of forgiveness and how different people (in this case, a mother and her child) view and think about situations in unique ways. In this story, the mother runs into her estranged husband and his new family and is extremely angry and worried about her daughter’s reaction. There is a stark difference between the reaction of the mother and that of her daughter. I wanted the story to really be about the differences between their reactions and how sometimes children really are a bit more logical and caring.
