In this piece, I explore the flaws in the sneaker culture – the main focus being resellers. The sneaker culture is great, but a flaw that drives a lot of people out are the prices. The issue that I focus on describes how people buy out all the new sneaker drops through using bots and paying people to camp out, where they then sell all these shoes for at least 2 times the original price. A shoe that sells for 220$ retail has a set market price of at least 400$.  Many people can’t afford to spend 400$ on food, being the reason that the culture itself and the sneaker community is constantly shrinking.
