The Macro Photography unit in Design taught students how to take photographs using the macro lens. Our assignment was to take at least 120 photos of items that belonged to different families. Some options included cars, glass, utensils, flowers, pets, etc. Many of my pictures that I turned in, I ended up being of glass, tin foil, car tires, and my cat. Below You will find my Final macro picture, which I chose from my 120, that I edited and exported using Adobe Photoshop. When editing the photo, the very first thing I did was the crop my photo to fit the rule of thirds. In this unit, we learned a lot about the composition of photos, and how to make your photo visually appealing and eye-catching. After cropping, I lightened the photo, using curves, and added a photo filter to make the photo a little bit warmer. Below you will find a glimpse into my workspace in Adobe Photoshop and my Final Macro Photo.
