I am Shane Palmbush, a junior going to Mountain View HighSchool. I do water polo and wrestling at the school and go to Freestyle academy. In my free time, I love to draw, hike, play video games, listen to music and watch TV. I would say I’m an adventurous person but definitely introverted at the same time.

My passions are what drive me to do anything that I do and I would say that my biggest passion and inspiration are stories, whether they be from film, animation, literature, video games or music. Good stories and characters are what drive my day to day life. I love to play Water polo and Wrestle and find my time doing sports to feel incredibly rewarding and meaningful to how I live. In regards to music, I love listening to music. Some of my favorite artists are Steely Dan, Nunjabes, Zutomayo, Journey, and Lie and a Chameleon. I also love the outdoors and hiking
I chose to be a Freestyle student for many reasons but one of the biggest reasons was because my older sister is a Freestyle Academy alumni and she had an incredible time and recommended it strongly. Additionally, I’ve always loved to draw and create things which is what we are able to do at freestyle academy. Freestyle also gives me the opportunity to be around other creative and expressive people which is a great opportunity and incredibly fun. All the classes at Freestyle feel like they have meaning and purpose to them and are a great escape from the monotony and bore of typical classes. Overall, Freestyle seemed like too great of an opportunity to pass up and I’m very glad I didn’t.
