Animatic
An animatic is a prototype of an animation. My animatic was inspired by my graphic novel and Flash Fiction. Using scans of our graphic novels, we added basic effect, music, and voices. The point of an animatic is to have a general idea of how long your animation is going to be and how to set it up. I spent a long time on my animatic, which although to some may have seemed unnecessary, made it much easier when I started animating for real.
