Welcome to my Narrative website! This website is based on our second unit here at Freestyle, Narrative. In this unit, we first wrote short stories, and then proceeded to write one longer one. My story, “Harlin,” influenced all the material on this site. The purpose of this project was to answer the question, “How well can I visually tell a story?” We wrote the story in English, and then translated into a graphic version of it. This graphic novel was then turned into an animatic (a rough version of an animation), and then of course, the animation version. The main character of our stories was then photographed in Design. I used Photoshop to edit this picture, creating a kind of surreal effect. Lastly, everything was compiled into this website using Dreamweaver.

This project was very interesting to me. I enjoyed using many of the programs, but I found Adobe Flash CS6 the most difficult. It was hard to translate my ideas from my head to paper to the computer, especially given the short time crunch. Overall, I like my work a lot, but I know that if I was given more time I could definitely do even better work.

Xoxo,

Sofia
