Ever since I was little I would go to Italy and stay in my grandma's one bedroom apartment and watch Alice in Wonderland. She would always tell me that money didn't grow on trees whenever I would ask her to buy me something, and from that moment on I always thought how cool it would be if money grew on trees.
The boy is supposed to be me when I was sitting in my grandma's apartment watching Alice in Wonderland. I envisioned myself in the movie being the caterpillar sitting on the mushroom and wondering how I could get money to grow on trees.
The thought bubbles are supposed to represent me fantasizing if it would actually work or if it were even possible. Money growing on trees is usually thought to be impossible or only to exist in a utopian society. But I actually think it is quite possible, the only the problem is I just don't know how.
