In our weekly photo challenge, one of the photos we were asked to take was a storytelling photo.

Self-Portrait

The image shows me giving a thumbs up in front of a wall covered in posters.

For this weekly photo challenge we had to take a picture showing who others think we are. For my photo I chose to pose in front of a wall in my room, that is covered with movie, music, and art. I try to be as open with people about who I am as I can, and I think that people see me as a person that is passionate about many things.

Storms

The image shows the sky that is mostly cloudy with some blue coming through.

This week, we had to show what we think is weather at it’s best. I think weather is best when it is partially cloudy, because I love seeing the clouds and the blue sky together.

Deadly Sins

The image shows a person holding a mug with "#1" on it.

For this weekly photo challenge, we had to show one of the seven deadly sins in a photograph. I chose the sin of Pride, because it is the oldest and most deadly of the sins and I thought that it would be a good challenge to try to portray it.

Film Noir

For this week’s photo challenge, we had to show a photo that was film noir. I wanted to show one of the main interests of film noir, which is lighting. For this photo I wanted to take something that you might see in a film noir.

Modern Convenience

The image shows an advertisement that I made for AirPods.

For this week’s photo challenge, we were tasked to create an image that looked like an advertisement for a modern convenience. I chose to do AirPods, because I use them a lot, often to help me focus and drown out background noise. I had a lot of fun making this project, and I am really happy with the result because of the fonts and logos that I added.

Seasons

A photo of trees on the Berry Creek Falls Loop trail

For this weeks photo, we were challenged to find our inspiration in the changing seasons. For my photo I took this picture while I was on an 11-mile hike with my mom. I thought that this photo perfectly represented the changing of the seasons in Northern California, or the lack of the change. Only in Northern California would it be beautiful and sunny in November.

Color Without Color

The image shows my friend and I smiling and standing in a crowd of people.
My friend and I at Ohana Fest

This weekly photo challenge was to take a photo of a colorful story, but without color. I edited this photo of my friend and I from back in September, it is a photo of us after a concert. We flew all the way down to Orange County to go to this show, and I think that the blurriness of the photo adds to the excitement of the day and of the image.

Friends and Family

The image shows me and my friends posing for a picture, all smiling and goofing off.
My friends and I at Freestyle Homecoming

For this prompt, we were asked to take the photo of our friends and family. I chose this photo of my friends and I because I think it represents who we are as a group really well. While not all my friends are shown, I think that everyone’s joy in this photo shows through really well. My friends are a group that is supportive and excited about each other and whatever comes our way.

Culture

My culture includes cooking and baking foods with my family from old and new recipes.
Baking banana bread from our old recipe book from my grandmother.

Our weekly photo challenge for this week was to take a photo about our culture. I decided to take a photo of my family making food, because it is a big part of how my family connects with each other. Recipes are passed down through generations and collected into one binder, where many of our meals originate from. The oldest of these recipes are originated from our Italian and German culture.
