Narrative Unit Website

The Narrative unit focuses on how stories pull you in and the important aspects needed to create a "good" story. We started off by making a Graphic Novel in English. During the creation of the Graphic Novel, I learned a lot about how to set up a story line, and what is needed to make it complete. For example we talked a lot about the conflicts of our character, how those conflicts shape them, and what they needed versus what they wanted.

As we got more into developing our characters, we then began a Narrative portrait in Design. We were asked to choose a model to represent our character, and as I shot my model, I realized the importance of facial expression. A person's facial expression easily shows the emotion someone has, and in a portrait picture, it is very important to have.

Once we finished those projects, we had to create an Animatic and Animation in Web. These two projects really helped me focus on the timing of a story and how music can change the story drastically. As you look through my website, you will see many of the projects I've mentioned, each page corresponding to at least one of the pieces I have created.
