Stuck in the Computer

"Hi, mom, I'm back from school!"
"Hi, Bobby," said his mom.
Bobby walked upstairs to his room and dropped his bag on his bed, then went straight to the computer. Almost everyday, Bobby went through this same routine of greeting his mom and heading for his room to work on the computer.  He worked on the computer until the early morning.  His parents were starting to get worried about him spending too much time at the keyboard and not enough time on his other school work.

So, one day his parents decided to go upstairs and tell him that he had been spending too much time on the computer and that he was going to have to limit his computer time from now on. When his parents entered his messy room, they noticed that Bobby was nowhere to be seen in the room.  On his desk, all they saw was a blank computer screen.  This seemed really odd because he never left his room unless he was going to school, or eating a meal.  His parents immediately checked the hall bathroom, but the door was open and no one was in there. It was a possibility that he went outside or something.  After a thorough search around the house, there was still no sign of Bobby.  They had no clue where he went.  His mom thought maybe they should call the police to report a missing child. By now, his parents were really panicking. They went to the next door neighbors to have them help to search the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Bobby had been staring at the computer screen for such a long time, that he got sucked into the monitor. When Bobby first entered, he got tangled in all kinds of colorful wires. Bobby seemed concerned and worried about how he was going to get out of there. He knew how critical each step would be, since he had been working on computers for many years. He knew that one false move could be catastrophic. Bobby figured that he was probably going to have to defeat something to enable him to get out. He knew he had to think quickly, because the computer was getting dimmer and dimmer signaling that it was powering down.  All of a sudden, he stumbled on a wire which triggered a computer-like voice.

The voice said, "Bobby, you have to figure out by yourself how to get out of here."
So, Bobby once again thought maybe this was like one of those video games where you have to encounter obstacles to earn your way out or find your way out.  But, again, Bobby heard the voice.
He said, "Bobby, you have to think of something that you haven't been doing lately."
Bobby thought to himself.   He immediately realized that his homework had been slipping and that he had missing assignments piling up.

Once again, Bobby heard the voice which said, "Bobby, you are correct, but the only way out involves you promising that you will catch up on your homework and that you will tell your parents you know you need to spend more time on your homework."
"O K, I will tell my parents about my homework.  Let me out!"
When Bobby was ejected from the computer, he was greeted by his parents.
"Hi Mom and Dad, sorry I have been spending so much time on the computer lately.  I promise to stop working on the computer all the time and work on my homework instead."
By now, his parents were so relieved to see him back that they weren't thinking about his computer usage.
"Its okay, Bobby, you can still use the computer," said his mom.  "You can balance your school work with you computer time."
"Thanks mom."

Stuck in the computer

My photo narrative is about a boy who spends too much time on the computer and ends up getting sucked into the screen. The only way out is to promise to spend more time on homework and less on the computer. I wanted to make this piece because, I seem to spend way more time on the computer then my school work.
