My art is about the addiction to horseback riding. I choose to make this piece because I am truly addicted to horseback riding. I love the feeling and the emotion I get from riding. When I ride time freezes over and nothing matters, I cant hear the millions of thoughts running through my head every second. Every thought and voice in my head are silenced.
I was motivated to make this piece to share my feelings I get from horseback riding. I choose to use photography so I could the feeling of being in the picture and experience what I experience. The pictures that you are in you either feel that you are on the horse or that you are going to get run over by the horse.
I want people to get out of my piece that horseback riding is not just sitting on a horse letting the horse do all the work. I want them to know that there are feelings and emotions that you get from riding. When I am on the back of the horse I feel like I am mostly myself. I don’t have to be someone I’m not, and I don’t have to worry about anything.
