The daughter of the Evil and a prostitute, Adela was abandoned in the woods at a young age. While initially ostracized by the local community, she eventually gained their favor for her usage of her Potency-magic to cure illnesses and afflictions. When the prince began unfairly raising taxes, she followed in her mother’s footsteps by disguising herself as a prostitute to infiltrate the palace, killing the prince and becoming a criminal. She turned herself in and faked her death, eventually settling into a new village as as herbalist named Heather until her eventual death at 45 years old.
Appearance
Heather is 4’11” and has tanned skin, brown eyes, and long brown hair. Adela wears a plain dark red dress and a brown shawl. As Heather, she wears a tattered dress and a dark hooded robe.
Powers and Abilities
Having inherited the Evil’s magical affinity, she is a cruman with the rare ability of Potency-magic. She mostly uses her abilities to craft herbal remedies for illnesses, but used her powers at least once to craft a poisonous balm.
Relationships
Adela knew little of Beorhtric growing up until her neighbors began suffering due to his reign. After a few weeks of this, she disguised herself as a prostitute and snuck into the palace, using poisonous balm applied to her lips to kill him with a kiss. She later raised their child as a single mother, refusing to state who the father was.
Heather knew her parentage was indecent, having been mistreated by the townspeople for many years because of it. She eventually learned that her mother was a prostitute and her father a "demon of a man", though she was abandoned by the former while young and never met the latter.
