SCREENPLAY

 

SCENE 1           
                        MAYOR
                     (Panicked)
            Help us WONDER WORM! The city is in danger!

                       
{Camera only shows Wonderworm’s mouth}

                        WONDER WORM
                        (Cooly)
            I’m on my way . . .

SCENE 2
                        OPENING TITLE
{WONDER WORM flies around on-screen to cheesy theme music with people singing}

 

SCENE 3           
                        MAYOR
                        (Panicked)
            Help us WONDER WORM! The city is in danger!

                       
{Camera only shows Wonderworm’s mouth}

                        WONDER WORM
                        (Cooly)
            I’m on my way . . .

 

SCENE 4
                        DR. BIRDSEED
         (looking down on the city and laughing)
            Pathetic worms! Prepare to meet your maker!

 

(Wonder Worm enters view)

                        WONDER WORM
            Not today, DR. BIRDSEED.

                        DR. BIRDSEED
                        (gasps)
            WONDERWORM!

                        WONDER WORM
            Leave these worms alone, or you’ll have to deal with me!

                        DR. BIRDSEED
                        (laughs)
            Ha! You are no match for me, WONDERWORM.

                        WONDERWORM
            Prove it.

(Wonder Worm and Dr. Birdseed duke it out until Dr. Birdseed hits Wonder Worm with a cheap shot and Wonder Worm falls from the sky.

SCENE 5

(In Wonder Worm’s apartment, Wonder Worm has 5 o’clock shadow and looks like he hasn’t showered in days)

                        WONDER WORM
                        (Groaning)
            Ugh . . . I can’t believe I lost.  I’m a failure.

                        MYSTERIOUS VOICE
            You’re not a failure, you just need to practice.

                        WONDER WORM
                        (tripping balls)
            Who said that?!

                        MYSTERIOUS VOICE
            Its me!

(Out of thin air appears a little Asian man with a giant handlebar mustache)

 

                        WONDER WORM
            MUSTACHIO?!

                        MUSTACHIO
Yes, young grasshopper, it is me. Come, we must prepare you for your next battle.

 

SCENE 6

 

(Wonder Worm and Mustachio go into a work-out montage, at the end, Wonder Worm looks like himself again. They also find out that peanut butter gives him even more strength.)

(MUSTACHIO and WONDERWORM bow to each other)

                        MUSTACHIO
            And now, you must play the waiting game . . .

 

SCENE 7
                        MAYOR
                        (Panicked)
            Help us WONDER WORM! The city is in danger!

                       
{Camera only shows Wonderworm’s mouth}
                        WONDER WORM
                        (Cooly)
            I’m on my way . . .

 

SCENE 8
                        DR. BIRDSEED

            Aaaahhh, come back for seconds, have we?

                        WONDER WORM
           
            You won’t win again, DR. BIRDSEED!

                        DR. BIRDSEED
(laughs for a few seconds and then stops abruptly,his face looks serious)
            Bring it on . . .

(WONDERWORM and DR. BIRDSEED duke it out, and WONDER WORM wins)

                        DR. BIRDSEED
           
            You didn’t play fair!

                        WONDER WORM
                        (laughs heartily)

 

 

SCENE 9

                        Credits roll up the screen

{At the end, a circular opening appears in the middle of the screen}
