Our assignment was to take two photos that tied together in a story. We were given two lists full of words, with the choice of one word per list. The chosen words correspond with the images.
My story is about addiction and death. A woman chain smokes cigarettes, unfazed by the potential consequences. Her doctor lets her know that she has lung cancer at her annual checkup. She tries to quit smoking, but fails in doing so. She grows weaker and weaker, and is forced to live at the hospital. After a couple weeks in the hospital, he dies.
My photo which represented addiction was of a tray of ashes and charred paper. This relates to addiction because it symbolizes burning up or wasting your life. At the same time, it could represent wasting money (burning paper). My second photo represents death. The smashed goldfish behind a tire shows death.
