10 Things I've Learned So Far

1. Always tie your shoes.

2. A penny saved can be an opportunity missed.

3. Don't cross the streams.

4. Friendliness is the first step towards happiness.

5. First impressions are everything.

6. Don't judge anything by its cover.

7. Time flies when you're having fun, and slows down when you're not.

8. If you keep your expectations high, you'll be disappointed. If you keep them low, you'll be gloomy.

9. Early bird gets the worm, early worm gets caught. Be the bird.

10. Let yourself be heard at all cost.

This project was one of the first things we did here at Freestyle Academy. It all started in English, where we started writing about things that are important to us. It eventually became 10 things that we had learned through our lives - Sort of like principles to live by, or just life lessons we acquired on our journeys.

While we were making these 10 things in English, we were learning about Garage Band in Web. We had been using it for about a week, and after finishing our 10 things, we needed to put our skills to the test. We needed to make a podcast using those 10 things.

At first, I struggled with this project. I had a hard time recording in the isolation booth, and many of the directions I misunderstood and screwed up. In the middle, however, I discovered the incredible awesomeness of using the keyboards assigned to us in Garage Band. I found that I could make a nearly endless amount of original music using the Garage Band tools. Thus, I really got into the musical part of the project, and finished it up with flying colors.

The music in this podcast show my more "volatile" nature, since I'm very excitable and I get really into things that I like. I'm really, really proud of this podcast, and I hope to make some more music and podcasts like this in the future.
