In our Digital Media Class, we were tasked to create a one page flyer in InDesign for an event or organization of our choice. I decided to make a flyer for an annual Performing Arts Show my club at Mountain View High School, the Akshaya Patra Club, holds for the nonprofit organization, Akshaya Patra. This is an organization I have been involved with since about 2015 and have been extremely passionate about ever since. It’s a cause very near and dear to my heart, and since we were holding a show on May 31, 2020, I had to make a flyer for it anyways.
I think I did a pretty decent job with the color scheme: yellow, blue, and red. These colors are very close to the Akshaya Patra colors, and I thought they fit pretty cohesively on the flyer. I also thought my font choice was nice because I incorporated two fonts including their Italic and Bold versions that suited each other well. I just enjoyed the overall structure of the flyer, and thought it looked pretty put together and professional… almost ready to distribute for the actual show.
