For Design class, I used a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop to create my Experimental piece.

5/18/09 "Constituent"

I have always been fascinated by the idea that all the materials that make up life today are made up of the same matter that existed when the earth began. All life forms have always been made of the same types of cells. I illustrated the concept of this idea of continuity of all life forms throughout time.

I took a basic cell-like shape and copied it many times. I then added different features to each of them to make them into different life forms. Finally, I arranged them all into a larger human shape. This shows that the same things that make up me could previously been a part of something else.
