The Video Essay is a film I made in the beginning of my Senior year that I’m very proud of. The story behind it reflects my childhood and what I’m still going through today. I grew substantially from this project because it made me get out of my comfort zone. I learned that I was afraid at first to share my story because of what people might think of me after they watch it, but one of my good friends made me realize how many other kids are coping with ADHD and would love to see how I overcame it. At first I was going to do a completely different project but then my Film teacher and I were talking, and he heard some great emotional ideas that he thought should be shared with everyone. I’m so happy he did that because I would have never had the guts to show people my life story.
