Photo Narrative Artist Statement

I took these pictures to show the process of how some teenagers can become alcoholics.  Everybody knows that teenagers can become depressed due to the pressure of their school, home, or social life.  Because of this depression, many teenagers will start drinking alcohol to ease their pain.
In my first photo, I am showing a younger boy looking out from a dark room while feeling depressed.  This is a pregnant pause because the boy doesn't know what to do about his loneliness and depression.
In the second photo, I am showing a teenager looking at an alcoholic beverage and debating weather or not to drink it.  On the couch next to him, I am showing either a friend or an older sibling who is sleeping facedown on a couch having been drunk previously.  I am portraying that the teenager on the couch is passed out because a dog is sniffing him and recieving no reaction.  I also show many tequila, vodka, and beer bottles on the table.  This shows that the teenager sleeping on the couch and the teenager in the chair took part in an alcoholic party the previous night.  In this picture, the teenager is sitting on a chair after he's been drinking with his friend, and he is sitting and thinking.  He is most likely thinking about his actions and the consequences.  This photo corresponds to the first one due to the fact that the teenagers in the second photo were in a similar situation as the boy in the first photo, and they chose drinking alcohol as the solution.
