10 Years
For my 10 year project, I chose to make an illustration using Adobe Illustrator and, after printing, I painted over it using acrylic. The color scheme I chose was pastel-based, and the visuals of the piece are intentionally simple. Across the background there is a simple diagonal pattern of lines repeating.
The three colors I chose to use - green, blue, yellow - are used to represent a certain sense of calmness or at-being with myself that I have and want to maintain in the future. The paint roller is used to represent the part of myself that strives for unnecessary things, namely material. The green paint that is coming from the paint roller is a symbol for money, and it is marring the three colors because I fear my aspiration for wealth will take precedence over happiness.
