Me signing the constitution

Welcome to my Documentary website! As you may or may not have guessed from the title, this is a documentary unit. We all know the basic outline for a documentary, research and a point of view presented through a medium of varying type. The process originated in English class when we narrowed down several community issues of our choosing to a single topic. Mine being the YMCA's Youth and Government program, in which I am a veteran participant. From there we began weeks of extensive research and conducted interviews pertinent to our topic. During our research, we began to develop a "book" which was a paper that was a minimum of five pages. Simultaneously in Design we worked with InDesign to make a 30 page book which we were to fill with images we had taken in our field investigations, along with the text from our paper. Meanwhile in Web/Audio Production we designed our third website of the year, creating a digital copy of our paper, a site layout corresponding to our topic, a slideshow containing audio from ourselves and our interviews summing up our documentary, and a version of the full book online. This unit has been jam-packed with exhausting amounts of labor, but has been one of the most enjoyable this year. I am extremely proud of my finished products and I hope you enjoy them!
