Animation

My animation was based off of the short story and graphic novel I wrote in English. In order to plan out the animation, I created an animatic first, then started loosely creating my animation based off of it. Both the animation and animatic were creatid with Adobe Flash CS6.

The storyline of my animation changed about 3 times during the animation process, the most notable of which was the change in company names, from "MYGZ 沒有工作" to SoftwareSolutions. The original company made "CoolCaps" hats, whereas SoftwareSolutions makes apps like "Furious Fliers."

In order to create my animation, I had to make 393 separate objects, or 'Symbols,' each of which shows up at least once in the animation. The animation, which is about two and a half minutes long, contains 22 scenes. In order to animate the majority of the motions, I used Motion Tweens, which allows you to set two or more changes in position/size/rotation/etc... over a period of time. The computer then filled in the frames inbetween the frames I specified. Along with Motion Tweens, I used Shape Tweens, Masking, Filters, and more. Overall, the animation took me about a month and a half of Web/Audio class and many hours of my time at home in order to complete.

The following images show the difference between the original and final animations.

The Office Incident production crew would like to thank its sponsors for their continued support of the project. You will find these brands hidden throughout the animation.
