Music To My Ears
My illustration is about my love for music. In the picture, I am sitting in the bottom left corner, while my amplifier is centered more in the picture. Next to my amp is part of my guitar, and above everything else are music notes, which represent the music in my head. I did not place myself in the middle of the picture because seeing my face would not have helped the viewer understand who I am. I did not look at the camera because I think the illustration is personal enough without me staring straight at the viewer. From the way that I am sitting, my posture presents the idea that I am somewhat reserved and quiet, however it seems clear from the rest of my illustration that inside my head, I am very chaotic. I chose bright, vibrant colors in the background because the music that I like is usually viewed by people as loud and obnoxious. However, I had to fade the colors because I did not want them to be too distracting from the rest of the picture. I placed my amplifier in the middle of the illustration to again convey to the viewer just what kind of music I like. I hope that after seeing this, the viewer will understand more about my interests and personality.
