For our self portrait illustration,I was tasked with creating a drawing that represented an aspect of my personality that was both positive and negative.Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop I created something that represents me quite well.

I made my self portrait about two conflicting sides of the same facet of my personality. I consider myself understanding of people, of their emotions and actions and sometimes this causes me to be too forgiving. It’s a flip side of the same coin.
I chose the owl to be my central character because owls are stereotypically wise. They are also small birds who are at the mercy of hunters and hawks. The owl is welcoming you into his home even after he has been hurt, because he is too forgiving. The colors I chose were a combination of welcoming and earthy naturals, the only exception was the red of the bandages.
