The purpose of this illustration, was to, using symbolism and text, provide some sort of visual to our short story that we wrote in English.

Thank you, again David Reid. :)

My illustration is about a man plagued by love and addiction. The man on the left is the man that he wants to be, but when he looks in the mirror to the man on the right, its the man that he has become through his pill addiction, as seen on the counter. Basically, the story revolves around this guy's pill addiction, which stimulates the memories of the day that he murdered his wife. These blue pills turn him into a monster. It's basically a Jeckel and Hyde sort of piece. This man named Michael is addicted to the feeling that these pills give him. He lives a miserable life, and when he is under the influence of his medication, he feels at ease with his life. His main cause of agony is the constant agony he receives from his wife. Originally, the pills were his escape from reality, when in the present, they have become an obsession. Michael craves these pills as a way to feel normal. Michael craves the euphoric pleasure that these little blue pills provide for him. Michael craves the day when the cycle ceases to repeat itself, and his world reaches silence. I have the words written "Michael wasn't happy" because that is both the first line, but also, the last line is "Michael was happy". I have the words "out of control" to resemble his addiction. I have the words "I hate you, I love you" to resemble the detesting feelings he has towards his wife, however, he still loves her. In the end however, it's the hate that presides, and its the hate that relinquishes and keeps him killing and killing over again. I have "beer, refrigerator, television, pills, kills, death, repeat" because those words resemble the routine that has become Michael's life.
