An animatic is a very rough version of an animation. After creating our storyboards we used Flash to put them together with a rough version of the dialouge, sound effects, and music. Doing this allowed us to get sense of the timing, as well as where we would need things like pans, zooms, or fades. It important to do this, because once you start the real animation, it is difficult and time-consuming to fix mistakes.
