Complimentary
My piece is about taking things for granted. When something is free, we often take advantage of the situation, and use up that thing without any thought. When this happens, however, that thing is often gone before we know it, and we are left without anything. This can be applied to something material, such as in my photo narrative, or something more abstract, such as friendship. I have learned that it if you receive something, it is best to give something in return. The gradual fading of color in my piece reflects how, as we use something up, any meaning that was attached to that thing also fades.
