PHOTO NARRATIVE
For this asignment, we had to tell a story in 6 picture frames and use symbolism to help the viewer understand the meaning of our piece. My narrative is about a girl who changes everything she can about herself with hope of being accepted by her peers. From coating her face with powders and pastes, to wasting her days burried in magazines, she slowly starts to lose touch with who she really is. In the last frame, the girl is reaching out to herself in the mirror, but can no longer see her reflection. I think that in some sense, everyone can relate to the girl. I know I have changed things about myself so that my peers would accept me. I hope that the viewer can relate to the piecce in the same way I can.
