When I first began creating my story, I did not know exactly when, where, or what I wanted to write about. However, after reading so many books and stories where the main character always triumphs, I thought it would be interesting to take a new perspective. This led to me wanting write a story where the main character does not succeed.

After completing the animatic and gaining a sense of the timing of dialogue and scene changes, we began our animations. We started by drawing objects, characters, and other images in Adobe Illustrator. Then, we imported each individual drawing to Flash where we placed them on the stage. For characters that moved, we had to draw each individual body part and imported them separately so that we would be able to use the bone tool in Flash to make them move similar to how a person in real life would. We also added used motion tweens to change the camera angles and to fade in and out of scenes.

I learned so much during the process of creating my animation. Previously, I had no idea how to use Flash. Now, I can say that I have successfully animated a story. I have learned so many new tools and techniques that I can now use to tell a story in a different way than before.
