For my tenth WebGem I chose iwastesomuchtime.com. iwastesomuchtime.com is the sister site to DBPB. It was created by the same founding individuals. iwastesomuchtime.com is a collective of random funny images. One can submit their own images to be reviewed then posted if it makes the cut. There are several different subsections you can view different posts in. I chose this site because it is something I can look at when I'm bored or are procrastinating. It is a great waste of time hence the name iwastesomuchtime.

 

For my ninth WebGem I chose Dear Blank Please Blank (or DBPB). DBPB Is a website that host anonymose funny letters from someone to someome. An example of one is Dear Noah, We could have sworn you said the ark wasn't leaving till 5. Sincerely, Unicorns. Many of these anonymous funny letters can be rated and voted on and if they get enough votes they can show up on varios subsections of the website. You can also moderate the posts and choose which ones you want to be able to be shown on the website, and can also create your own posts to be shared and voted upon. I chose this website because I find it a funny and great way to relieve stress and wastes time looking at other peoples witty and funny ideas and creations.

 

For this WebGem I chose Megashare.info. Megashare is a online movie database. Megashare allowes free online streaming of any movie imaginable, even sometimes movies that are in theaters. I chose this as a WebGem because sometimes I am looking for a specific movie and I cannot find it on Netflix so I go to MEgashare.info and I find the movie I was looking for and watch it with online streaming for free.

 

I chose Photoshop essentials as my seventh Webgem. Photoshopessentials.com is a website where one can find different and specific and speciziled in depth tutorials for photoshop. Photoshopessentials has different tutorials that are sectioned off into Bsics, Retouch, Photo Effects, Text Effects, Digital Photo Essentials. Under these subsections one can find alomst every Photoshop tutorial wanted.

 

I chose Online OCR as my sixth Webgem. Online OCR is a webservice that picks up text from PDFs or JPEGs and converts them into text. Online OCR is a free program that was created in 2009. If you have a scanned document and want to avoid retyping your document, Free Online OCR service is the fast way to do it. Online OCR supports 46 different languages. I use this Online converter to convert documents teachers have given me into online text so thats I can use direct quotes and answer the questions easier.

 

I chose Soundcloud as my fifth Webgem. SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform it is based in Berlin, Germany Soundcloud lets its users upload, record, promote and share their music and sounds. It was founded in 2007. This company has 175 million unique monthly listeners, while content creators upload about 12 hours worth of audio every minute. I chose this as my WebGem because I use this website on a daily basis to keep updated with all of the most recent remixes of my favorite songs and when my favorite djs and producers release new songs, I can listen to it right there before Youtube or Spotify has them. I also like SoundCloud because it allows me to listen to remixes that would not be avalible on itunes or Spotify.

 

For this WebGem I chose Etsy. Etsy is a website where you can buy and sell handmade or vintage items, art and supplies. Etsy is the world's most vibrant handmade marketplaceIt is a great place to buy or sell handmade creations. I found this site as a Webgem because there are not many other places where one can sell and buy handmade gifts from other people at a good price. You can find basically anything on this site which is what makes it so great. This website makes it very easy for you to make a profit by selling your own homemade or vintage items.

 

Netflix is a Streaming media company. It contains thousands of TV shows and movies and steams them to you computer, phone, Xbox, or Wii. Netflix is a great website where you can catch up on seasons of shows in just months. The areas Netflix is avalible in is United States Canada Mexico South America United Kingdom France Germany Scandinavia Austria Netherlands Ireland Switzerland Belgium Finland Luxembourg. I lvoe Netflix because it is a website where I can watch as many movies and TV shows as I want without commercials for a low fee.

 

Pointlesssites is a website portal that has links to thousands of pointless or meaningless websites. There is a new featured pointless site every day. You can vote for your favorite pointless website every week. There is an A-Z list, an "our favs" page, and a submit page, where you can submit your own pointless sites that will be reviewed by the admins. Pointlesssites.com is a great way to waste time and kill boredom.

 

Tumblr is my first WebGem. Tumblr is a social blogging site where people blog and reblog, like and share images, quotes, and texts posts. You can post your own creative pictures and if people like them they can reblog and like them and put them onto their own blog. Everyones blog is special and is persoanlly coded. You can chose atempltate or code it from scratch then customize it. This site really helps me share my creativity with the world and those who follow me. I really enjoy this site and have made many friends by messaging back and forth with them.
