Self-Portrait

Introduction

Photo of Myself

I don’t believe that I can be summarized in a website, but this is my best effort to do just that.
Who am I? I am a summary of thoughts and actions, in conflict or in accord as the situation demands. I can try to explain bits of my personality (though only bits), and that is what I’ve attempted to do here as well and as accurately as I can.

These pages contain some of the people and things which are integral to my personality. I have designed this website in order to augment these more concrete manifestations of my character with an abstract representation. I created a background of messy overlapping colors to show how I’m scattered and full of eclectic ideas. I added solid, blocky, right-angled content areas in a neutral color in order to give a sense of order on the surface, despite the fact that the clutter is still visible below.

This website involves various mediums, from podcasts to photographs to written words.

As the first multi-page website I’ve created, this involved a lot of arduous, often rather monotonous work, such as changing all ten buttons to match each other whenever I wanted to redesign them. All in all though, it was a rewarding experience, and there were highlights (creating the background was definitely one). I look forward to designing more websites with my new skills.

Tea makes everything better

In english, we wrote poems that were related to one of the things on our list of Ten Things we've learned so far in life. Like our essays, it shows a part of ourselves. In webaudio, we made an image out of the poem in order to make it more attractive.
