For those of you who can't read Gujarati, the mysterious writing in the picture above is my name, Kavita. I chose a lotus as my logo because in the Gujarati alphabet, the first letter/sound is 'ka', which is the the first sound of my name. Just as kids might associate 'A' for 'Apple,' all the learning materials I tried to use showed a lotus for 'Ka' .
