Animation: The Acceptance Letter

My inspiration for this animation remains the same for my animatic, which is my comic. I used the same program, Flash, to create my animation as my animatic. The only difference this time though, is that I drew each piece myself. From the mailbox you'll see in the first scene, to the dissapointing letter in the last, I created each one with the tools offered up in Adobe Flash.

Upon reflection, I would have to say that I learned a lot through this process about art and patience. First for the art. In this day and age, paint to canvas has been replaced with a Wacom pen to tablet that magically transfers the image to the computer screen. Learning to use different applications to express myself has also taught me to appreciate many different styles of art and breeds of artists. As for the patience, this process forced me to take my time with the applications and not rush through with the hopes of finishing the product as quickely as possible.

A big thanks to Bella Graziani for playing the voice of Pilar and to Mr. Florendo.
