                                                                        Artist Statement

 

This Illustration is about the connection i have with nature and peace. Nature is one of my great loves in life; whenver I am around it, I am at peace with the world. The bird and my hand represent these two things, nature and peace. The connection is shown by the fact that even though I am inside a room; there is a small piece of nature that gives me peace. Wherever I am, there is always a little bit of nature that finds me, and that tiny bit allows me to forget about the world's problems and hostility. My hand is stuck in the mirror but I don't care because as long as the bird is there I am happy. I hope that this piece shows you that nature is a valued and necessary part of this earth; and that if we were ever to destroy it, we would not deserve to keep our earth.
