Beach Party

My short story is the story of the conflict between a boy and what is expected of him by society. To often we know what the right thing to do is, and yet we won't do it anyway because it's not the fasionable thing, or it's too inconvenient, or just it isn't "cool." In this story the boy wants to do the right thing, and he can hardly imagine not doing the right thing. Yet the pressure not to do anything, and just to leave things the way they are, not to help institute any change, is too much. As a result he ends up doing nothing, and he even regrets it, but it's too late.
