12/08/06 Songs
I have about 320 songs in my library since getting an Ipod mini on my 16th B-day (a very slow rate compared to the rest of the world) and, to me, each song carries a purpose of life. I could go on and on about how each and every song I has something to contribute, but since I have limited time on my hands and because of the fact that you will get bored after the tenth song, so here are five different songs.
1) "The Riddle" by Fighting for Five
One of the most touching songs in the entire history of mankind, "The Riddle" shows us that today, we all need to open ourselves to each other, to be supportive and recognize that all of your relatives in the past and, most likely, in the future will remain on this planet. Love on them while you still can.
2) "Lose Yourself" by Eminem
A tune with a detemined vioce, "Lose Yourself" talks about hardship one man is going through and that he will not stop at success. This song tells the world to get ready for the "one oppertunity to cease everything your ever wanted" and when the oppertunity comes, take it with everything you have.
3) "High School Never Ends" by Bowling for Soup
A little more of a comedic melody, speaks that the entire world is just high school, where everybody respects that 10% of people in the popular clique (popularity rankings are so dumb) and watching the latest moves that may define who is who. It short, it says that the reality of life starts at high school.
4) "Move Your Mind" by Effiel 65
This techno groove is telling people to get up and move. Its saying to the world that we all have to express what we think and what we all need to do. I moved my mind and body by taking this class and creating this personal website. I'll do even more than that with the 3rd project of the year.
5) "Hang On" by Smash Mouth
This tune tells the population not to stop at your personal goal. It really tells people to "turn it up when they tell you to 'tone it down' ". Make someone proud of what you accomplished. Never give up and always turn things around when the world is not on your side.
