My dog, Pedro, sleeping

My Dog

My dog, Pedro, is a Chihuahua/terrier mix. He is about two years old and has the raspiest smoker voice that I've ever heard. He can whine like a cat and doesn't really get along with non-neutered male dogs.
We adopted him from a private, no-kill animal shelter. They had him for months and were aboout to give up, thinking that he was never going to be adopted when I saw him and fell in love with him. The name that the shelter had given him was Robin, but I immediatley re-named him Pedro.
He has been with us for about a year now and I absolutely love him!

My Mother's Dog

Nikita is about four years old, weighs about 75 pounds and is pure muscle. She was a gift from my father to my mother on Valentine's Day, 2004. When he brought her home(we were living with my grandmother at the time), my grandmother thought that she was covered in mud. Her fur is speckled with dark brown spots that look like mud.
She is very shy and doesn't like strangers too much. She will growl and bark and then go hide behind my legs from whatever she was growling at. She is truly a sweetheart. Nikita is very protective of her family and with no doubt would defend them to the death. Gotta love that big tub o' lard!

My Cat, Chirin

Sadly, June, 2006, I had to put my cat to sleep. She was suffering from a mysterious disorder.
This is a tribute and rememberance for the sweet kittie I had. She always knew when I was sad and would sit on my lap. She survived a move from Germany to American and survived the death of her sister.
I love you Chirin, may you rest in peace, we miss you!
