El Camino Hospital Health Library and Resource Center

Who was our client?
My client was Jack Black of the El Camino Hospital Health Library and Resource Center. He was interested in bringing the Library to a broader community awareness, considering that it is a free service.

Who was on my Freestyle ACAAT Design and Production Team?
Natalie S. and Yetzenia L. worked with me on this Public Service Announcement. They were a wonderful team and we communicated very well.

What are the main messages in our PSA campaign?
Our main goal was to let people know that the library is there and compeltely free. Mr. Black found it important that a younger generation know about the library and put it to good use.
Under all of this we were also trying to convey the dangers of STD's and how teens should educate and protect themselves against STD's.

What products were created to convey our PSA campaign message?
As a team we created three posters, each one stating a fact about an STD and showing a couple. We also created three radiospots, one film and a website.

Why did we choose this particular color scheme?
We chose to keep the colors and design simple. We did not want a website or posters that over burdened the viewer with too many colors and a difficult design.
The library is connected to a larger company that is called Plane Tree. Due to the name and the design of that company we chose to create a leafy design in the upper left hand corner of our website.

Why did we choose this particular typography?
For the typography we wanted to once again keep it simple. We chose a font that was easy to read in a simple color.

What am I most proud of in this project?
I am quite proud of the all over product. I think that our team worked together quite well and that we have a great product because of that.
