Animation

After using our graphic novels to create the animatics, we then began to produce our animations. Before this unit, I had never used Adobe Flash CS6. Flash was a very difficult program for me. It was hard to get the timing of certain scenes correct, and to line up the music and voices with the drawings. I don’t consider myself too much of an artist, so completing the drawings on Illustrator was a feat I’m quite proud of. Throughout using Flash, I developed my patience when things weren’t going right. I also worked on my problem solving skills. If something didn’t work, I had to figure out how to fix it.

I’d like to thank Sheila Ahi and Rachel Michaels for voicing my characters in my animation. I would also like to thank Mr. Florendo and the rest of the staff at Freestyle Academy for teaching me everything I know about animation, graphic novels, and photography.
