My Credo

I believe that words left unsaid, never amounted to anything

I believe in playing a song, only because it needs to be played

I believe in pinch harmonics

I believe music can only be heard, not read

I believe the best way to remember something, is to write it down on your arm

I believe that boredom spawns short attention spans and great ideas

I believe sleep can solve any problem, but I never get enough of it

I believe in pulling all nighters

I believe the only way to talk is face to face

I believe in taking life one step at a time, but never losing the big picture

I believe interpretation is everything

I believe love doesn't conquer all, because love doesn't conquer anything

I believe that breathing, is nothing close to living

 

This credo is really just who I am. There aren't many abstractions in it, most of it is straight forward, and pretty easy to decipher. The only line that I would feel needs some explanation is, I believe in pinch harmonics. Pinch harmonics are a type of guitar note that is basically characterized as a squeal, and I think they're frickin awesome. So the line is basically saying, I believe in awesome things. But everything else should be easy to understand and I hope it provides you with some insight into who I am and what I believe in. All the pictures in my credo are visual representations of the lines in the credo or they are just to help set a certain mood that I was looking for when you listen to my credo. Like the first image has nothing to do with "words left unsaid...", but I put it there to set a natural mood to show how I feel that everything in this is very natural to me and I want the viewer to feel that way when they are seeing my credo. I hope that the viewer takes away a deeper sense of who I am as a whole person when they see this.
