10 Things I've Learned so Far in my Life

We, as a class, were assigned to make a list of ten things that each of us had learned in our lives. After hours of thinking and processing ideas, we all came up with different lists of ten different things that we had believed since we were little. These things ranged from the serious to the silly, inspiration to ketchup, but all were things that us students believe in or lived by. We took this list to Web Audio and made a podcast using those ten things. With garage band, we recorded ourselves saying our list, then using pictures and music, we enhanced the project and turned it into a podcast. Web Audio enhanced our project, making it something interesting and fun to watch and listen to.

1. Music saves me.
2. Live like you're six and nothing matters.
3. Cry for love, not for fear.
4. Don't blink.
5. Breakfast is better with Bacon.
6. What you do is written in ink; it never goes away.
7. Pokemon never gets old.
8. Even a spot of dust can be inspiration.
9. Anything tastes good with ketchup.
10. Bubbles cure even the worst depression.

This being my first podcast, it was a very nice introduction to garage band and it hacked into my creative self through pictures and music that were related to the beliefs. Each image is tied literally or metaphorically to the statement and it is enhanced with the music we either chose from Garage Band's music or created by us students with our musical abilities. Some of the pictures were less understandable, such as the one related to the quote "Don't Blink," while others were more literal, such as "everything tastes better with ketchup."
Music is a huge part of my life and I spent a long while trying to figure out what tune to put behind my podcast. The music for me was a repetitive tune that I had heard at camp that summer. It's soft and very relaxing, which makes it nice background noise that isn't too forceful and doesn't distract the listener from the beliefs. This podcast, being my first attempt at Garage Band for a while, was interesting as the first project for Web Audio.
