Animations are a fabulous blend of the arts, from melodic soundtracks to moving drawings. Our challenge was to produce a three minute long animation featuring an interesting story. While most movies have hundreds of specialists that work together to create the sound effects, voice acting, animating, and other jobs that are involved, each student had to be their own crew. Through over fifty hours of passionate clicking, typing, and drawing, the animation below was created. Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the following presentation of "A Turtle's Tale".

You don't truly appreciate an animated movie until you've actually made one. How any team manages to create the hour long features that debut at the theaters is beyond me. Yet again, they had a crew. Creating my own story that others can not only see, but hear and reflect upon, has been an amazing experience, if not a tiring one. I, for a long time, have studied the "behind-the-scenes" of all types of movies, but animations have always interested me the most. They really take the best from all forms of art. When put to the task of making my own, I saw a clear sky in which I, an average student, could tell my tale. What story to tell? How will the characters look? What will be the tone for the music? Hundreds of questions flooded my mind, but each was an obstacle worth defeating. With every challenge overcome, my animation became more meaningful and incredible. Although the stress of creating this masterpiece was overwhelming, I would never take back a second. If I learned one thing, sticking with your passion pays off, and others will see your passion as well.
